Cardboard Boat Museum

The Cardboard Boat Museum is located in New Richmond, Ohio, on the Ohio River. This place is home of the International Cardboard Boat Regatta and managed by Team Lemon, the nations most prolific team builder and racers of exotic and unusual boats. The museum was created as an offshoot to the Annual International Cardboard Boat Regatta. The regatta is held every August in New Richmond and supports a variety of charities. Crews from all over enter boats constructed of cardboard, tape and paint to compete in a race along the banks of the Ohio river. Many of those crafts comprise the museum's collectio

The Museum offers classes in building cardboard boats, student tours, rental options for reunions, off-site meetings, graduation and birthday parties. Nominal donations are suggested to support the museum. A custom designed “paddle wheel boat” was raffled off prior to the race in 2009 to support the non-profit museum and the winner raced and won a Trophy in the NEW “Small Stacks” Class...

They have very unuusal hours. Open on Tuesday (4pm - 7pm) and Sat & Sunday (9am - 5pm). The rest of the week they are closed. This place is cool, you have got to see it at least once in your life!
